We look forward to welcoming you to our home in the lovely village of Carrog, seven miles west of Llangollen in the beautiful Dee Valley. Just over an hour by car from Manchester, Birmingham or Liverpool, we offer a choice of two en suite bedrooms. We use local suppliers, where possible, including eggs from our own hens and cook breakfast individually to order on the kitchen range. Coeliacs and others requiring gluten or wheat free diets are especially welcome, and we cater for vegetarians, dairy free and diabetics. The local area offers a choice of eating places, or pub food can be had at a five minute walk away at The Grouse. If the weather is suitable we can supply a BBQ package to enjoy in the garden.

We offer two en suite bedrooms, The Orchard Room and The Courtyard Room, complete with radio alarm, television with video, hairdryer, down quilt and pillow (non allergenic alternative available), well stocked hospitality tray, magazines and fresh flowers, luxurious toiletries and fluffy towels.

Take a steam train ride from Carrog station along the beautiful Dee Valley into Llangollen, explore Valle Crucis Abbey, climb to the castle at Dinas Bran to admire the views, saunter along the Llangollen canal in a horse drawn boat, or experience the journey across the famous Telford viaduct, one of the engineering wonders of the World.

Accessibility Statement The Cottage is an old house built into the side of a hill, with all the characteristics of age, including low doors and differing floor levels. It is not possible to adapt to allow wheelchair access, and the staircase is a domestic staircase with banister rail to the right hand side only, making it difficult for use by people needing support on two sides. We do not regard the property as suitable for young children, as we have a large deep ornamental pond in the garden. The entrance to the property is about 20 metres from the car park along a gravelled path, then a concrete path with three steps, opening into the porch reception area. Help with luggage is available. The bedrooms are on the first floor. All rooms are well illuminated, with good contrast between walls, floor and doors. Assistance Dogs are welcome. Special diets, gluten free, diabetic, dairy free and vegetarian, can be catered for. Fridge space is available for insulin and other medications. West bound along the A5 from Llangollen for approximately seven miles, passing through the village of Glyndyfrdwy, until you reach Llidiart y Parc. Turn right, signposted Carrog ............................

East bound along the A5 from Corwen for approximately two miles, until you reach Llidiart y Parc. Turn left, signposted Carrog ..................

............. continue down the hill past the Steam Railway Station and over the River Dee. Turn left, up the hill, through the village for quarter of a mile, The Cottage will be seen on the left, with guest parking just beyond the sign.
